Cyprus Permanent Residency Programme Overview

Cyprus is a member of both the European Union and the Eurozone. Holding a Cypriot Permanent Residence Permit is therefore a great advantage when applying for a visa in the Schengen Zone.

The programme requires an individual to make a minimum investment of €300,000 in real estate in Cyprus.

A Permanent Residency Permit is valid for 5 years and can be renewed after that provided the individual maintains ownership of their property. The application processing period lasts between 1-2 months.

Permanent Residency in Cyprus: Key Benefits

  • Strategically located at the crossroads of the African, Asian and European continents
  • Permanent residency is also applicable to the main applicant’s entire family, including their spouse, children under the age of 18 (as well as unwed children under the age of 25 who are attending a tertiary academic institution) and parents of both the main applicant and their spouse.
  • Holders of Permanent Residency can become eligible for Citizenship following 7 years of continued residency.

Cypriot Permanent Residency Criteria

  • Applicants must purchase a property in Cyprus valued at a minimum of €300,000.
  • Individuals must prove they have a minimum annual income of at least €30,000.
  • If an applicant wishes to add dependents to their application, their annual income must also include an additional €5,000 for every dependant.
  • If an applicant wishes to include their spouse’s or their own parents, their annual income must also include an additional €8,000.
